The art I create shows a search of the origin of my identity, which is surrounded by the ideology and thoughts of honor, loyalty, justice and duty found in Japanese culture. The ancestral connection to Japan is a fountain of inspiration and creation.
In my lithographic works, I wish to transmit an emotion, a sensation, a message through playful, joyful expressions, or through a constant battle, protection, and thus project strength.
When I look back at a piece of mine, I remember like a sigh, that this energy of life is in each piece of art I create; that it manifests in each piece to bring happiness, joy, and strength.
My art is inspired in the Mexican artist Remedios Varo for the "magic" in her style, as well as in Salvador Dalí for his dreamy, imaginative approach.
Due to my oriental roots, my art represents the dragon as primary animal in a flowy motion, for Katsushika Hokusai and "The Great Wave" is another source of inspiration.
